Episode Summary
What if improving lymph flow and circulation didn’t require a complicated exercise routine?
Rebounding can be an intense workout—but it doesn’t have to be. Something as simple as gently bouncing on a rebounder creates repeated muscle contractions, tissue movement, changing pressure, and deeper breathing.
In this episode, John Ossipinsky (LymphMan) explores what research tells us about exercise and lymph transport, lymphangions, gravity, tissue pressure, breathing, circulation, and the thoracic duct.
You’ll also learn what studies have found about rebounding and cardiovascular fitness, metabolic health, cognition, balance, and healthy aging—and why rebounding has not yet been proven to move lymph better than walking.
John also shares his personal approach to rebounding. Rather than performing a complicated exercise routine, he often simply bounces, allowing the rhythmic movement itself to activate muscles and create movement throughout the body.
👉 The bigger message: You don’t have to exhaust your body to help it flow.
In This Episode, You’ll Learn
- What a rebounder is and why gentle bouncing is different from performing an exercise routine while rebounding
- How lymphangions, muscle contraction, gravity, pressure, and movement help support lymph transport
- How deep breathing can influence pressure and flow through the thoracic duct
- What research shows about rebounding and cardiovascular fitness, metabolic health, cognition, balance, and healthy aging
- What human research shows about muscle contraction and lymph transport
- Why swelling after exercise should not automatically be interpreted as “detoxing”
- How John combines the LymphMan Shoulder Shuffle, DEEP breathing, and gentle rebounding to create a simple routine
