Episode Summary Â
Can red light therapy improve cellular energy, reduce inflammation, and support tissue healing? And could it also influence the lymphatic system?
In Episode 49, John Ossipinsky (LymphMan) explores how red and near-infrared light interact with mitochondria, ATP production, and the body's natural repair processes.
John examines a 2025 review involving 204 clinical trials and more than 9,000 participants, revealing encouraging findings for pain, fatigue, and hair density. He also shares his personal experience using red light therapy for TMJ discomfort.
Discover the surprising connection between lymphatic vessels and hair regeneration, along with emerging animal research investigating near-infrared light, brain lymphatic drainage, Alzheimer's-related changes, and concussion recovery.
👉 Could red light therapy become another valuable tool for supporting cellular health, tissue repair, and healthy aging?
John also shares practical guidance on treatment distance, session duration, eye protection, and supporting healthy lymphatic circulation.

IMPORTANT RESEARCH NOTE
Human clinical studies have reported encouraging benefits from certain photobiomodulation protocols, but results depend on the condition, wavelength, dose, and treatment method.
Research involving meningeal lymphatic drainage, Alzheimer's-related changes, and concussion recovery remains experimental and has largely involved animals. These findings do not establish that consumer red light therapy devices can prevent Alzheimer's disease, improve brain lymphatic drainage in humans, or treat concussions.
Photobiomodulation should complement, not replace, established medical care.
